Event cancellation & non-appearance insurance

Event cancellation insurance repays your costs, or lost income, if an event is cancelled, postponed or moved for reasons beyond your control, and non-appearance cover adds protection if a key speaker or performer cannot attend. It suits organisers of conferences, exhibitions, concerts, sports events and weddings in Qatar. We request offers from several insurers licensed by Qatar Central Bank, explain what each one covers, arrange the policy and follow up your claim with the insurer.

In QatarFor outdoor events in Qatar, bad weather cover, such as sandstorms or heavy rain, is often optional, so ask for it when requesting offers.

Frequently asked questions

When should I buy event cancellation cover?

As early as possible, ideally when you start paying deposits and signing contracts. Insurers do not cover problems that were already known when the policy started.

Can I insure a wedding in Qatar?

We can ask insurers to cover deposits paid for the hall, catering, photography and other suppliers if the wedding is cancelled or postponed for an insured reason, such as serious illness of the couple or a close family member (policy dependent).

What does non-appearance cover mean?

It pays your losses if a named speaker, performer or athlete cannot attend because of illness, injury, travel disruption or another insured reason, and you have to cancel or change the event.

Do I insure my event costs or my income?

You can insure your total costs, your expected net income, or both, depending on the event. We help you work out a realistic figure from your budget and contracts.
