Home insurance
Home insurance covers the building, its contents or both against fire, water leaks and theft, and can include your liability to others. It suits villa and apartment owners in Qatar, and tenants who want to protect their furniture and belongings. We request offers from several insurers licensed by Qatar Central Bank, explain the differences, arrange the policy and follow up your claim with the insurer.

Frequently asked questions
I rent my home. Do I need home insurance?
The owner's policy, if there is one, covers the building only, not your furniture, devices or belongings. A contents policy with personal liability protects your belongings and can cover damage you accidentally cause to the building or neighbours (policy dependent).
Are my domestic worker's belongings covered?
Many contents policies include domestic workers' personal belongings up to a set limit, and some offer it as an option (policy dependent). We check the limit and terms with the insurers and explain them to you.
How do I set the contents value?
Add up what it would cost today to replace your furniture, appliances, clothes and valuables. Insuring for less than the real value can reduce the claim payment, so we help you set a realistic figure.
Are my gold and jewellery covered?
Jewellery and watches usually have a per-item limit and an overall limit, unless an item is listed separately in the policy. Tell us about high-value pieces so we can request specific cover for them (policy dependent).
