Motor insurance

Motor insurance covers the injury and damage you cause to others and, with comprehensive cover, damage to your own car from accidents, theft or fire. Every vehicle in Qatar needs at least third-party cover to renew its Istimara. Whether you drive a family, sports or luxury car, we get offers from several QCB-licensed insurers, explain the differences in cover and repair terms, arrange the policy and follow your claim with the insurer.

In QatarThird-party cover is compulsory under Traffic Law No. 19 of 2007, and Istimara renewal needs valid insurance, a Fahes inspection when due and settled traffic fines.

  • Offers from several licensed insurers, clearly explained
  • Agency or approved-garage repair (policy dependent)
  • Optional roadside help and replacement car (policy dependent)
  • We follow your claim until the insurer decides

Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between comprehensive and third-party cover?

Third-party cover pays for injury and damage you cause to others, and it is the minimum the law requires. Comprehensive also covers your own car against accidents, theft and fire. We explain what each offer includes before you choose.

What do I need to renew my Istimara?

You need a valid insurance policy, a Fahes inspection when due, and no unpaid traffic fines. You can then renew through the Metrash2 app. We arrange the insurance before your renewal date so you are not held up.

What should I do after an accident?

If anyone is hurt, call 999 first. Then get the accident report and the vehicle repair permit from Metrash2 or MOI services, and take photos of the damage. Send us the documents, and we file the claim with your insurer and follow it until the insurer makes its decision.

Can I choose agency repair?

Some comprehensive policies offer agency repair, and each insurer sets its own conditions, such as the car's age. We show you which offers include it.
